🚨 MAN SEVERELY ATTACKED 𝗕𝗬 𝗗𝗢𝗚𝗦—𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗡𝗢 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗗 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 SO FAR 🚨
How is this even possible? A man was 𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟯 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 in the middle of Kansas City, and the system is failing him 𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹.
🩸 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝟰𝟲, was riding his bike 🚲 when two dogs circled him. He fell, and then even more dogs broke through a fence. They latched onto his arms, legs, feet, and face—𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗜𝗠 𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧 as he screamed for help. His sister reported that he told her, “𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗴 𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿.”
💀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝟮𝟯 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀.
Chris fought for his life. His face was torn off and lower limbs were ripped apart. A neighbor tried to stop the attack with a golf club but was chased away. That neighbor ran to call 911. ☎️
🚓 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗗 𝗛𝗜𝗠. Instead of immediately neutralizing the threat, police, firefighters, and SWAT tried using sirens and lights—𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗬 being attacked. Although it is difficult to handle dangerous dogs when attacking, to watch #SWAT react this way is a huge warning sign 🚩 that our government does not recognize the #PublicHealthCrisis of dangerous dogs and is not properly training their responders.
After he was rushed to the hospital 🏥 Chris endured:
300 bites.
500 stitches.
100 lacerations.
He fought against sepsis until he passed away. 🤬😰
⚖️ 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗜𝗦 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗜𝗠 𝗧𝗢𝗢. According to neighbors, the bloodsport dogs had been trained to fight. But will they face real consequences? 𝗢𝗥 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦 paid with his life? #Pitbull defenders constantly argue that owners are to blame. Will good #pit owners protest? Demand #accountability? So far, we have not seen any #pitbullloversunite to demand justice for Chris.
🐕 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗡𝗢 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗦 𝗗𝗢𝗚 𝗢𝗪𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣. This is NOT just about the breed—𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬. How many more people have to be mauled to death before lawmakers take action?
Chris spent his last moments 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 help. Witnesses described him weakly reaching out during the attack.
We CANNOT let his death be in vain. 𝗪𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗟𝗔𝗪𝗦, 𝗕𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥-𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗗 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗟𝗬 𝗗𝗢𝗚𝗦 and those who allow them into our communities.
