Kelly Reilly, pictured here, was a 33 year old woman filled with love and kindness. ❤️
She decided to adopt an xlbully and quickly showed her neighbors that she was a good owner who took care of the dog and responsibly managed it.
But that’s only part of the equation when it comes to dogs. 🐕
Despite her caring personality and good ownership, the dog suddenly turned on her when she began experiencing a medical emergency in July of 2024. 🆘 She had a history of seizures and authorities believe she was suffering from one when her beloved dog began to maul her.
Her partner heard the attack and desperately rushed over to try to save her, but despite being a fit, grown man, he was unable to stop the dog. This is a critical point that lobbyists want you to overlook in the dog attack crisis. No amount of training, love, or good ownership can change the innate capability of an animal.
In the case of any mistake, the reality is that most humans cannot stop some dogs. In fact, many of these dogs aren’t stopped by weapons. For example, the xl bully famous for killing a little girl named Mia took 13 bullets before stopping.
So although Kelly had support, nothing could be done in the face of such a strong and relentless animal. Her neighbor, Lorraine Griffiths, made a public statement: “Kelly suffers from seizures and is thought to have fallen to the floor while having a fit. The dog which is an XL Bully was in the flat and grabbed her neck. It may have been trying to help her at first and not hurt her and then panicked and attacked. Her ear had been ripped off and was later found on the floor nearby.”
(Notice the common desire to utilize DARVO, attempting to relabel a violent mauling as helping.)
Kelly’s family members spoke out on Facebook in tribute. Her cousin said, “My beautiful cousin, such an innocent soul, would never hurt a soul, we will miss you.” Another family member stated, “can’t believe you’re gone cuz. A good friend also said, “Such a loving girl – never had a bad bone in her body.”
RIP 🪦 Kelly. You offered nothing but love. 💕 Yet in your greatest need, you received a hideous, violent response that even a grown man couldn’t interrupt. May your story not be in vain, may it remind others to use logic over emotion and to respect the innate power of animals.
