This is Baby Winstyn. He grew up with a beloved pitbull as a family pet. ♥️ Side by side, they explored the world together. Winstyn was protected and loved by his furry friend. His mom supervised them together and was within arm’s reach.
Until one day, genetics took over.
Baby Winstyn is alive today because a relative was strong 💪 enough to temporarily stop the pitbull during the attempted murder. He was life flighted 🚁 to the big Children’s hospital and underwent a complicated, 8hr surgery.
He will now need repeated reconstructive surgeries as he grows. And has already undergone multiple surgeries since his initial stabilization. It was a miracle just to get him onto a bottle in the hospital. 🏥
Parents, there is no animal worth this risk. And no virtue signaling or image worth this gamble. Always put your baby first. It is not hate. It is parenting.
Baby Winstyn is lucky to be alive. Five other children are dead due to their pitbull buddies this April alone. But, he will have to deal with his injuries and surgeries for the rest of his life.
