Here are all the submissions I have for the Baby Elizah case. These were publicly available and saved as screenshots. If anyone has the unedited versions of the statements from the mother and grandma, please message me. And if you have more details you’d like to add, also please message or comment. The grandma was hideously actively on news threads immediately following this baby’s murder but I don’t think I saved all her statements.
Follow along through the photos to watch the timeline of pitbull misinformation leading up to the sudden murder of a 7 month old baby. Note that the father is allegedly discussing a different pitbull. He allegedly owned 3 of them and hand raised them from puppyhood.
This case is a current, direct example of how the for-profit (monetized) pit propaganda on social media can directly influence at risk individuals leading to fatal outcomes. It’s a reminder that we must all continue to speak out about dog safety. The emotionally manipulative material shared on pages and groups does influence parental decision making and as we see with Baby Elizah, it can end fatally.
