Let’s step past the games to break down what’s being used here.

1️⃣ False Comparisons

Comparing orcas hunting prey or cats’ instinctive play to selectively bred bloodsport dogs is a category error.

Orcas + cats = natural predation.

Fighting breed dogs = artificially engineered, man amplified aggression toward other mammals, especially other dogs and humans.

These are not biologically or behaviorally comparable, before even looking at relevant risks, such as how most humans do not naturally exist in a dolphin environment. 

2️⃣ Minimization & Deflection

Instead of engaging the real issue (why fighting breed attacks cause disproportionate maiming and deaths) the commenter drags in random animals to muddy the water.

This is classic avoidance of discomfort and responsibility.

3️⃣ Manufactured “Both Sides” Fallacy

Bringing up cats, diseases, dolphins, etc., is meant to create a fake symmetry:

“𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀, 𝘀𝗼 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹.”

But the data doesn’t agree. Only one type of household pet routinely kills its owners’ children, owners, and others inside family homes.

4️⃣ Emotional Immaturity Masked as “Calm Logic”

The smiley faces (☺️) and breezy tone are a cue:

They’re trying to emotionally detach from a topic that requires moral seriousness.

That “lighthearted” tone itself is a defense mechanism.

5️⃣ Identity Based Reasoning

“𝗜 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝟯 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀…”

This is irrelevant anecdotal self insertion meant to give their argument unearned legitimacy.

Owning animals ≠ understanding breed specific behavioral genetics.

6️⃣ Misunderstanding of Domestication

Cats hunting ≠ “domesticated violence.”

It is retained predatory drive.

Pit bulls mauling people is not retained wolf behavior, it is selectively intensified gripping, shaking, and attack persistence developed by humans.

7️⃣ Moral Fogging

They’re trying to dilute the seriousness of human victims by comparing those mauled to death with… a penguin tossed by an orca.

It’s an attempt to flatten moral categories to avoid discomfort.
